Over the last two decades, I’ve lived in several countries, navigating the highs and lows of expat life as a trailing spouse. The excitement of new cultures and opportunities often came alongside moments of isolation and identity shifts, as I searched for meaning and purpose in my new home.

I understand the emotional complexity that comes with relocation—the challenges of building a new life while facing language barriers and unfamiliar social norms, often without the resources or support provided to my spouse. I’ve come to recognise how vital it is to find your own sense of identity in a new country - not just for your personal well-being, but for the health and harmony of your family.

Cultivate Health is the support I wish I’d had years ago—a space to reflect, adapt, and grow with intention. I offer coaching that’s grounded in lived experience, academic depth, and a deep respect for your unique journey.

I hold a BSc in Psychology and Counselling, and currently completing an MSc in Psychotherapy and Counselling. My work is also informed by my training as a Behavioural Change Specialist, blending therapeutic insight with practical strategies for emotional resilience, identity development, and intentional goal-setting.

Matt Barker is a certified coach specialising in Behavioural Change Coaching and an experienced Yoga instructor with 200 and 500 RYT hours of teacher training in India. He is currently finishing a BSc in Psychology and counselling.
